Meet María Pujana

Designer, Philanthropist, Visionary.

María Pujana is a Spanish-born designer, neurologist by training, and founder of Maria Pujana Designs. Based in The United States, her vision fuses science, art, and elegance into timeless jewelry pieces that have graced Fashion Weeks, luxury boutiques, and international publications.

The Brand Story

Founded over two decades ago, María Pujana Designs emerged from María’s passion for transforming natural materials into wearable art. Each handcrafted piece is a reflection of her deep appreciation for beauty, balance, and individuality.

Our collections are created using the finest natural materials: gold, silver, amber, coral, pearls, precious and semiprecious stones. Each piece is designed to tell a story, elevate the wearer’s confidence, and accompany her through every chapter of life—from casual elegance to evening and bridal sophistication.

The brand quickly grew to international recognition, with designs featured in 26 Saks Fifth Avenue locations, and later showcased in iconic venues such as Fashion Weeks at New York and Madrid’s Pasarela Cibeles.

Philanthropy & Social Impact

Philanthropy has always been central to María Pujana’s mission as a designer. She frequently donates exclusive pieces from her jewelry collection to support causes close to her heart.

Most notably, on September 27, 2000, María donated a piece of her collection to benefit Casa del Niño in Washington, D.C., a project created by Oscar de la Renta in support of orphaned children in the Dominican Republic.

She personally attended the “Christmas in September” Luncheon, where she presented her donation to Mr. De la Renta during the event.
